Albert Grey was a freelance writer looking for technical writing jobs. He wanted to earn just a bit more than what he was currently earning with his freelance copy writing projects, and he saw potential in technical writing. Browsing through a freelance community, he inquired from several other freelance writers about technical writing jobs.
“Technical writing jobs are very challenging to get!” said one of Albert’s friends on the community web site. “It’s just not for everyone. And your clients are usually very picky when they hire you for freelance contract work!”
But Albert didn’t want to believe him, especially since he barely did any freelance writing work and Albert new so much better than he did. So he decided to go on and pursue the freelance technical writing opportunities. Needless to say he poured through several of them on various web sites, including freelance marketplaces and the Freelance Work Exchange.
Technical Writing Jobs
Albert found several technical writing jobs including one for a large computer manufacturing company who needed documentation in order for them to be qualified for an international certification.
When it came time for Albert to bid on the technical writing jobs, and to follow up with his prospective clients, he presented them with an in depth portfolio of all of his work. They were all very impressed at his freelance writing background, and they were all very eager to hire him.
Today Albert keeps himself busy with numerous technical writing jobs and freelance projects all happening at once. Not only has he hired a personal assistant and improved his time management skills, he upgraded his home office with all the money he has made. You should see it!
