Barbara Burnham was asking around for freelance writing jobs from the past advertising agencies she worked for. Having spent over twenty five years as a copy writer before retiring, she had built a large network of contacts and many people absolutely enjoyed their work experience with her.
As she progressed on with her career and developed a flair for catchy writing pieces that literally brought her advertisement campaigns to the next level, it became evident that upon her retirement should would be in need of freelance writing jobs not because she needed the income, but more so as something she needed to occupy herself with and to be productive.
Barbara wasn’t too knowledgeable about internet technology, and so she had originally planned on tapping into her contact base and network of advertising executives in order to find freelance writing jobs. But when a friend pointed out the fact that the web can be used to find freelance work, Barbara didn’t hesitate.
Freelance Writing Jobs
She learned about how to use freelance community web sites and freelance marketplaces to find freelance writing jobs. It became clear to her that being an effective user of the internet has its advantages, one of them being the fact that she is more able to find work and can really devote herself to being productive, as opposed to having to spend all of her time looking for freelance opportunities.
So far, Barbara has taken on several freelance writing jobs from both large firms which employed her in the past, and small businesses and other organizations. She loves her work, especially since the internet made it so much easier for her to find freelance writing jobs.
