When Nina Corbu decided to take up freelance photography, she had with her the years she had spent working for a nationally distributed magazine shooting photographs of everything from fine cars to hot models. But with the intense competition amongst the photographers at the magazine, and not to mention office politics, Nina wanted to take on a freelance role and provide her talent to more than just one company.
Nina took on freelance photography as a way to earn her living, after having quit her job as a photographer for the magazine. She then moved to Houston, Texas and began her new job there as a freelance photographer. Recognized for some of the work she did for the magazine, several other internet based publications and print magazines immediately jumped on board and took her on as a freelancer.
Excited that Nina would finally get the chance to earn a living with freelance photography, she purchased an entire new set of equipment, and turned the basement of her home into a dark room for developing film the traditional way and a high tech digital studio for digital photo editing.
Freelance Photography
Nina then developed a system where she can receive freelance project leads automatically in her e-mail each and ever day, so that she wouldn’t have to go out and actually spend a lot of time browsing through freelance photography opportunities just to find them. This method proved effective, increasing her productivity and giving her the chance to spend more time on the actual work.
Freelance photography gave Nina the rewarding experience she was looking for, and because she was working on her own, she enjoyed a lot more freedom over what projects she did and where she spent her time. Freelance photography brought Nina to a heightened sense of accomplishment!
